Debono NZ is a high end local wooden speargun manufacture business in NZ. All spearguns are entirely built in NZ by hand.

The Debono Mono Roller is a real step up from power band guns and the reason is simple. A power band gun only pulls until the rubbers go slack where a roller gun pulls the entire length of the gun and still has significant pull at the muzzle due to a pretension. A 90cm roller has a similar yet cleaner pull length to a 130cm power band gun. This makes a roller gun fantastic because you can have a much shorter gun without losing power and with significantly less recoil. Contrary to popular belief, they are also simpler to load than a power band gun because they have a handle and there is never any loose rubber.

Each gun has 4 carbon fibre stringers so that we can make a sleek low volume speargun while maintaining excellent strength and dimensional stability. The shaft track is made of an epoxy & graphite mixture so that the track is teflon smooth and doesn’t swell and contract like wooden tracks.

Debono Mono Rollers also come with two band anchors for two different pretension settings. This means when you are shooting Kingies you can up the power, or if you are shooting around the rocks you can de-power the gun much like only loading a single band on a conventional gun but without the second loose band flopping around the muzzle.

I believe the 90cm and 100cm mono rollers are fantastic all rounders for New Zealand conditions.
